Do I have to be LDS/Mormon to participate?
No. We are using the church building because it is a large free space. 

I don’t even know how to boil water – am I still allowed to come?
YES! You are the reason this club exists. We want to give those who are more experienced in the kitchen a chance to help those who have less experience find recipes/methods that work for their individual lives.

What constitutes a full meal? Does it require a protein, vegetables, and a starch?
We won't be preparing full meals, we're focusing on recipes. These could be recipes used to create snacks, breakfast, lunch, or dinner, varying from simple to complex.

Will participants be asked to prepare food?
Only if they would like to help. Everyone is asked to help with the clean up at the end of the night though!

Can I bring my children?
Yes, as long as they are kept out of harm's way (cooking often involves sharp knives and hot temperatures) and they allow everyone present to hear and participate in the demonstration as they please.

Can I instruct on the basics of preparing a single food item, or does it have to be a full meal? e.g. show people all the wonderful things they can do with fennel/eggplant/chard/peppers or how to make bread or pasta.
This is up to the individual instructor, as it is their time/money. Recipes prepared on a given night don't have to make up a meal, or even necessarily pair together. 

Do I have to bring my own pots, pans, and other cooking materials?
Kitchen appliances like blenders are not available, but the church kitchen has a varied selection of pots/pans/serving dishes. If a certain piece is essential, it is suggested that research be done beforehand to determine if it is available.

Do I need to provide all of my own ingredients, including things like oil, salt, and pepper?
Yes.

Should I print out copies of my recipe to share with participants so they can follow along?
Yes. We will also be placing all of the recipes on this blog for future reference.

I would like to instruct on a crockpot recipe. Is this possible? [Perhaps by making the dish ahead of time, and showing the prep steps?]
That sounds like a great idea!

My favorite recipe is really complex and takes several hours, but I would love to teach it. Do you have any suggestions for how to do this?
